GENERAL QUESTIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS

Is CYC open all year?

YES! Please come out and visit us. Simply call ahead or check in with the Reeves Center when you arrive.

Can I come out to hike or picnic?

CYC is a private facility with the responsibility of keeping our campers safe. Permission is required before entering the property. Tours etc. are available at any time, but please call ahead to schedule.

Are there Mountain Biking trails?

Not yet, but we have plans to create some mountain bike trails in the future. We would appreciate your input! Also, Brown/Bartholomew County is excellent for road biking. We often have large groups cycle down Youth Camp Rd. to enjoy the leaves and the area.

What happens if it rains/storms?
Groups can participate on our Low Ropes Challenge Course rain or shine. If there is thunder or lightning, it will be necessary to reschedule your program for safety reasons.
This is especially true for the High Ropes and Pamper Pole.

What do I wear?
Closed-toe shoes are required on the Challenge Course, and we recommend casual, comfortable clothes that participants don't mind getting dirty. Loose, comfortable, and appropriate.

What do I need to bring?
Bring yourself and a good attitude! We also recommend that you bring a water bottle, bug spray if you prefer it, and snacks or lunch if you think you and your group might need it. If you would like Columbus Youth Camp to provide your group with meals, this can be arranged for an additional fee. Please make sure to call ahead if this is the case.

Where do I park?

You may park at the Noblitt/Basketball court area or at the Reeves Center. Please do not park on the road or hillside.

CHALLENGE COURSE

Who can participate?
Every person, whatever their size, shape or athletic ability, is welcome to participate at our Low Ropes Challenge Course. If someone in your group has special needs, please let us know so that we can make every effort to accommodate them. We strive to provide a meaningful experience for all involved. We will adjust our program so that everyone can participate with the group in a safe, comfortable way.

Do I need to fill anything out? Health Forms? Waivers?
Every single person who steps foot on the Low Ropes Challenge Course needs to fill out, sign, and turn in a Health Form. Anyone under the age of 18 must have this form signed by a parent or guardian as well. Those who do not have a completed, signed waiver will not be permitted to participate.
